Meh, I was no important figure on here, but maybe someone remembers me? heh
Yeah life started getting complicated so I had to leave my good friend the internet and all the .:driftMechaniks:. contained within heh.
For all those that don't remember I have an FC which is running excellently right now (enginewise) but the tranny is completely DONE. Only works in 4th gear. That's right no 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, OR REVERSE. Good thing I have a fresh (36k mile) tranny sitting in my backyard.
anyways that's basically what is new with me.
What's funny is that the reason I remembered to come back here is because I have been hooked on MySpace for the past couple of weeks and happen to find someone from here on there (and joined the group). I'm soo happy to be back on here because I will be visiting Atlanta during the summer for a week with my girlfriend (she will be there for 3weeks though) and next year I'm gonna be moving there for college. It's great to know that there is a great group of people up there that enjoy drifting as much as us (yes my girl is in to drifting as well heh, i'll see if she joins the forum).
Well just wanted to post up, say I'm back, and that I still rep with that "Drifting is not a crime" t-shirt all the time!

You must be running a N/A trans. You blew the main shaft and cluster gear into pieces. I'm on my 6th trans in 1yr. I would reccomend not down shifting the trans ever, and change the fluid every month. I am able to get 2months min out them. Also just go to junk yards to find used ones. I've been getting them for 50 bucks, just shift each gear at the yard and spin the input shaft to check them out. I blew a fresh one up in 1month so its pointless to rebuild. In any case you should save for a T2 trans swapp.Only works in 4th gear. That's right no 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, OR REVERSE. Good thing I have a fresh (36k mile) tranny sitting in my backyard.
thanks for the Info. This tranny had 143k miles on it and I ran it atleast once a week (and once a month it was drifting at Hialeah Speedway) with no fluid in it at all. I did this because I had the new tranny waiting in my backyard and the tranny was pretty messed up anyway so I just said I would use it till it blowsturbofb wrote:You must be running a N/A trans. I also have a daily driver so it's not a big deal for it to be out of commission.
And I am saving for the TII full swap or maybe better
but yeah..again thanks for the info. if this new one blows I will use your advice.
