I just could say to that nazi thing i have friends who are italian, turkish, romania, hungary, lithuania and all are ok. In every "race" there are idiots...

I think its related to poor southern cattle drivers who could not afford horses and used whips to drive their cattle. The whips cracking could be heard for long distances as they moved their herds into the south. That is where the term comes from.

i think it has to do with the original colony members that moved to america. they were hungry and there werent any 7-11's open or anything yet as they werent invented, so they started looking at eachother and thinking how awsomely exactly like gingerbread people, but that they also looked like unleaved white bread crackers. since they were sttarving and had little energy to talk, they just shortened it down to cracker, and then ate eachother. then shonesy was invented and all you can eat bacon saved the colonies.
