I just keep getting this sneaking premonition of some horrid karmic backlash for the above documented sins against engineering.

If BMW's are (supposedly) the ultimate driving experience, are the new MINI's the slightly more inferior driving experience? the BMW 1 series will be the most affordable driving experience? the M5 is the ultimatly overpriced driving experience?

Differential shattered.

I opened up the differential proper today, to find that... 1) the clutchpacks are... well not clutchanythings anymore. 2) the friction plates are almost scored smooth. (should have swirls in 'em) 3) the RH clutch assist was somewhat... well. damaged. and... 4) The pinion which holds the two spider g...

Awesome! So it might not be too bad of a fix then.... or at least hopefully:) You think you'll still try and get the KAAZ one eventually? The stock diff is good up to about 200hp and similar torque numbers, assuming you aren't shift-locking that bad block up every day. With that said, there's reall...

I took the diff over to my friend who works at Kathrine's, and he looked it over. "Toyota sure knows overkill well" (on the seriously fuckin' sturdy differential on a 120 hp 4 cylender) he looked at it and said that he thinks it's all okey, which is good, and it's probably a transmission m...

Well then I got screwed, because my vin is JT2AE88. The Hachi Roku comes from the AE86L frame. Which you've probably got. Hatchi Go comes from the SR5/base corolla being much less than the AE86.

Hey punks I've got your Toyota right here. I gave my old plugs to Vinh (red 300ZX) but for reference they are the NGK iridium. Only the best in the world for the best driver in the world, remember i am the king of everything funny, I was under the impression that Mr. Sheumacer used Bosch and Magnet...

Hey nobody, see if you can get a half-price dyno for your guys hatchi-go, with the open diff and all, it being one wheel drive

Also... I'm tempted to drag my corolla out for a dyno, once I fix the diff.

As to what's wrong with it?
Somewhere between the input shaft and the half-axels, the thing is boogered up, resulting in about half a turn of play from the input shaft and the wheels. which gives a huge KLUNK whenever I engague or disengague a gear.

If you take the wheels off, you can slide the bar out without removing the subframe: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=573059&highlight=sway+bar+install That's how Porter told me to do it...although some people say they haven't been able to do it that way. But, it's...

That page got me worrying, because there's only so much I can do in the parking lot of my apartment, and that's about two steps past that... Well, come to think of it, pulling my diffrerential is way past that too...

then again, that's my car, so fucking up and damaging things isn't that bad.

double monkeyshit on top of removing some of the front subframe, you've gotta work around some of the rear emissions kit, which means you have to let the exhaust compleatly cool. you're gonna need Ramps. (which I don't know if you can get up on thanks to low front end) Allen wrench (to hold the endl...
