I'd say get RHD coz it'll feel more natural to be on the left side of the road in that configuration. If you're in a LHD, you might fall into habits. Im with Alex. I drove in south africa almost the whole time and for me the side of the road was WAY harder to grasp than the side of the car I was on...

Yeah look into whether you can sneak it there as household goods also, in most cases motorcycles can be shipped as household stuff since they fit in a crate pretty well. I would imagine a scooter would be even easier, especially if it was in pieces in boxes
